Enjoy yourself at one of the many music, story-telling and theatre festivals in Uzès and the outskirts: the Uzès “Musical Nights” Festival in July, the New Dance Festival in June, the World Music Festival in the Uzège villages in August, the Avignon Theatre Festival in July, etc. And don’t forget to go for a dip or canoeing in the Gorges of the Gardon River, a truly refreshing paradise in summer.

A region of vineyards and olive groves… Uzège represents Provence in all its splendour. The Provencal market is held in Uzès each Saturday, where you can taste many regional products: wine, asparagus, olive oil, honey, black truffles, peaches and apricots, all depending on the season. A number of wineries sell sun-kissed wines, from viognier grape wines to be sipped in the shade to elegant red wines that marry perfectly with a leg of lamb seasoned with garrigue thyme.

Uzès is linked up to the main European cities by the TGV train (Paris is 2 hours 40 min from Avignon) and the A7 and A9 motorways.
